Courmayeur and the Mont Blanc valley

Courmayeur is neither a village nor an alpine town. It is the home of Mont Blanc; lively and cosmopolitan where a mixture of modernity and the past create a magic mountain atmosphere.

This summer you can use the lifts of Courmayeur Mont Blanc Funivie to enjoy the pleasures of the mountain and discover both the Val Veny and Chécrouit sides, much frequented by skiers in winter. You can acces the Plan Chécrouit (1704 m.) with the legendary Courmayeur cable car and go to Maison Vieille (2000 m.) with the chairlift of the same name. You will find restaurants and open shelters where you can enjoy tasty mountain dishes or just a refreshment. For fans of the mountain you can make excursions on foot along the paths that lead to the most beautiful peaks of the Alps.
You can acces the Val Veny side (1600 m.) climbing up the Val Veny road and in front of you, you will be presented by the spectacular scenery of Mont Blanc.
In summer the mountain is almost unreal: lakes as blue as atolls, a clear blue sky, meadows of an intense green, multicolored flowers everywhere, steep peaks and spotless glaciers... there are no words to describe the beauty of the place. In Courmayeur, the mountain is different due to the presence of the majestic Mont Blanc.
Whether you are walking or riding your mountain bike, you'll rediscover the pleasure of living in an exceptional place, located in the heart of the routes of the Tour du Mont Blanc.
